I did the ride on Sunday and it was fantastic. Brilliantly organised and a wonderful route.
Devil's Dyke was great fun - steep but not too steep - even after 50 miles and @ 30OC - and the views were incredible.
A huge thank you for a fantastic day on sundays c2c! The route was so beautiful, so well organised and friendly, the countless hills less so lovely in the scorching heat, but the cycle was true to its name a real challenge!! for me. I have raised for Norwood so far £535.00 on justgiving.com/simonestern and need to send in a couple of cheques. An extra big hug and thank you to the wonderful marshalls on the entire route, who were biking up and down the roads giving out encouragment and their last drops of water, especially the 2 who were there waiting at the start of devils dyke, they put a smile back on my face and tanked me up with lucozade, preparing me for the final big hill! the ride was a success because of them too!
Congratulations on another fantastic Capital to Coast ride: excellent organisation, marshalling, refreshment and support. All in all a fantastic day - though a bit too warm for comfort.
Congratulations to the organisers for another great ride. No idea why anybody would do London to Brighton ride compared to this one. Even though it was VERY HOT it was a great day.
What did I think of it? FANTASTIC. It was very well organised, very friendly and amazing to see complete families with quite young children participate. Just one thing, who put all those hills in my way? I had been warned about one or two, but the other 60 or so? It was an amazing event.
